Cow Skull Necklace
Some more shots of my Cow Skull necklace, worn here on a 16” chain. I’m loving this on a short chain!

Squeezing in some time to pop the latest batch of new necklace designs into my shop before the Christmas rush buries me completely. I’m totally in love with this cow skull necklace - it adds a touch of attitude to any outfit! Not that an outfit with a Sullen Clothing Tee and a leather jacket needs more attitude, but still…

A Moxie and Oliver Love Affair
If you’ve ever wondered who makes the incredible belts I wear pretty much every day, they’re the work of the talented Caitlin of Moxie and Oliver. My love affair with Moxie and Oliver started three years ago when I bought my first belt from her. Since then I’ve amassed rather a collection of her belts in a variety of seriously sweet designs.
Being from SoCal, I’m a fairly casual girl - most days you’ll find me in jeans and a graphic tee. Caitlin’s belts add that perfect finishing touch.
Here I’m wearing the Nelly Belt, along with my new Claw Necklace and my Spiked Necklace. I’ve had a bit of a thing for cow skulls going since I got this belt - look for a cow skull necklace coming to my shop soon! And I have a Nelly Tote on the way from Moxie and Oliver, too. Can I admit I’m a bit overly excited about i?.
Caitlin’s done a lovely write-up of my jewelry on her blog - check it out!

The Menagerie Goes to the Beach
At the beautiful Windansea beach in La Jolla, wearing my monkey necklace, giraffe necklace, and elephant necklace with an orange and grey maxi dress by INC. Why wear just one necklace when you can wear three?
I absolutely love how these three necklaces look together, and the grey stripe down the front of this dress makes a fantastic backdrop to show them off. Perfection!
Doesn’t Every Girl Want a Pony?
And doesn’t every jewelry menagerie need a horse necklace?
I had a friend in high school who was a jockey, so I spent quite a bit of time running around the stables at the racecourse hanging out with some horses who were real characters.
I remember one horse that liked to drink soda straight from a bottle and another that wanted everyone who walked by to pull his tongue. Yes, you read that correctly. Hopefully my little horse will live up to all the characters I’ve known.
Leather and Lace
Girly and tough - so very me. A little leather, a little lace, a little girly and a little kick-ass.
This spiked necklace is my most popular in-person sale. I’ve sold two of these right off my neck! Must get a picture of the one with the brushed finish, which is also seriously sweet.

Every Menagerie Needs a Hippo
Aristocat
I’m back on an animal kick again! Besides this classy Aristocat, I have the sweetest little horse necklace finished as well. And I’m currently obsessing over hippos.
A sweet view of opening day from one of the condos in our building
It’s the start of the Major League Baseball season, and the ballpark is basically right outside my window. The energy is fantastic! There’s a live band playing right now, getting everyone in the mood for tonight’s game. The crowds are filtering by into the ballpark. Soon the roar of the crowd will start. Have I mentioned that I love living downtown?
Andy watching the Padres play their season opener
We watched the beginning of the opening day game from a balcony in our building. The view was fantastic! Can’t wait to watch some post-game fireworks from the same balcony. It should be a fun season.
Suspended in Time
As promised, I ran out today and got a couple photos of the cherry blossom chain in action, along with a new flower necklace that I finished yesterday. I shortened the new necklace to choker length for this outfit, and it works perfectly with my super long flower chain and this fun knit dress.
I snagged this dress at Anthropologie a few weeks ago, and I absolutely adore it. I can just throw it on with a pair of leggings, some ankle boots, a good hat, and an extra-long necklace and I’m set for the day. Cute and comfortable at the same time!
